The Leat Project

The Ravine

The deepest section of the ravine was filled and compacted.  A trench was then dug to take 42 metres of 900mm steel pipe.  This was then buried and the water discharge and catchment areas constructed.  Finally the banks either side of the piped leat were graded using one of the 20 tonne swing shovels, two of which were in constant use throughout the Leat Project.
